Album Notes & Community Reviews

Taking its title from Sam Peckinpah's 1970 film, 'Ballad of Cable Hogue' is sung in French by guest vocalist Marianne Dissard over Calexico's arrangement of accordion, trumpet and brushed percussion. Drawn from 'Hot Rail', it extends the Tucson band's border music toward musette and chanson.
