So Hot You're Hurting My Feelings

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Blending sophisticated 1980s soft-rock aesthetics with distinctly modern, tongue-in-cheek internet lyricism, this track established the former Chairlift vocalist as a premier solo pop auteur. Driven by a punchy bassline and warm synthesizers, the song portrays the physical frustration of a long-distance relationship with theatrical vocal gymnastics. It gained significant viral traction on social media, largely due to a distinct choreographed dance featured in its music video.
