Me and Your Mama

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the lead single for a deeply unexpected musical pivot, this track abandons hip-hop entirely to deliver a sprawling, multi-part 1970s funk and soul epic. It begins with a twinkling lullaby intro before violently exploding into a fuzzed-out guitar riff, over which the artist screams with raw, unbridled vocal passion. The composition firmly established the former rapper as a capable architect of complex, vintage-inspired progressive soul.
