Album Notes & Community Reviews

Defined by a surging, optimistic guitar riff and earnest lyrical sentimentality, the single catapulted its band to international stadium-rock fame. Its straightforward melodicism provided a distinctly warmer contrast to the heavier post-grunge and nu-metal dominating the era's mainstream rock radio. The song's famously one-take music video cemented its iconic status in early 2000s pop culture.
