Album Notes & Community Reviews

Opening in an unusual 5/4 time signature orchestrated by violas and timpani, this heavy psychedelic epic features some of Jack Bruce's most dramatic vocal delivery. Eric Clapton's masterful, heavily wah-wah affected guitar solos became an absolute staple of late-sixties blues-rock virtuosity.
