Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally written from a male perspective by Robert Hazard, Cyndi Lauper overhauled 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun' to create a buoyant, feminist anthem celebrating female solidarity and independence. Enhanced by a delightfully quirky, colorful music video, it solidified Lauper as a primary icon of MTV's golden era.
