An exercise in extreme minimalism, the track is legendary for featuring exactly one lyrical phrase repeated one hundred and forty-four times over an infectious groove. The production is incredibly tight, built entirely around five distinct layers—including a prominent bassline, vocoder, and synthesizer hook—that enter and exit the mix systematically. The accompanying music video, directed by Michel Gondry, visually represented each instrument with corresponding choreographed dancers.
