Album Notes & Community Reviews
Propelled by a violently chaotic, looping brass sample produced by Paul White, 'Ain't It Funny' is a harrowing portrayal of addiction masked as an uptempo club banger. Danny Brown utilizes a hyperactive, screeching vocal delivery to mask the grim reality of his spiraling substance abuse. The surreal, Jonah Hill-directed music video framed the song as a twisted 1980s family sitcom, perfectly emphasizing the track's grim irony.
