Album Notes & Community Reviews

A self-fulfilling artistic manifesto, 'Changes' famously addresses Bowie's own restless compulsion to reinvent his sound and persona. The track is anchored by Rick Wakeman's stuttering piano arrangement and features Bowie himself performing the saxophone solo. Despite failing to reach the top 40 in the US upon initial release, it endured as his signature anthem of reinvention.
