I Luv U

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Self-produced by the teenage MC, this foundational grime track features an incredibly abrasive, minimalist beat characterized by aggressive, metallic bass and sparse drum machine claps. Its raw, fiercely experimental energy and rapid-fire, pirate-radio flows laid the immediate groundwork for the entire UK grime movement. The single heralded the arrival of 'Boy in da Corner' as a visionary masterpiece.
