Album Notes & Community Reviews
Written and recorded on a portable studio while on the set of the film '8 Mile', this track brilliantly blurs the line between Eminem's autobiographical struggles and his fictional character, B-Rabbit. The driving, guitar-heavy beat was co-produced by Luis Resto, establishing an intense, suspenseful momentum. It became the first rap song to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song, firmly cementing his status as a cultural phenomenon.
