Album Notes & Community Reviews
Built around a bombastic Roland JX-8P synthesizer brass riff originally composed by vocalist Joey Tempest for a nightclub laser show, 'The Final Countdown' became a colossal, stadium-sized phenomenon. Inspired by David Bowie's 'Space Oddity', the track topped the charts in 25 countries and became a ubiquitous sporting anthem.
