Album Notes & Community Reviews

Built around a sinister, pulsating Roland SH-101 synthesizer bassline, 'Sweet Dreams' served as the commercial breakthrough for Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox. The track's stark electronic arrangement and Lennox's striking, androgynous visual presentation became definitive hallmarks of the MTV-driven Second British Invasion.
