The Old Law

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking a pivot toward a noisier, more expansive sound, the track features Josh Tillman exploring a dissonant psychedelic landscape. The arrangement utilizes distorted piano and wall-of-sound production, moving away from the ironic folk-pop of his previous efforts. It conceptually deals with the limitations of moral frameworks through a series of cynical, abstract narratives.
