Album Notes & Community Reviews

Written by Dave Grohl amidst the collapse of his first marriage and the blossoming of a new romance, 'Everlong' is built around a complex, dropped-D guitar riff and deeply urgent, whispered vocals. The track successfully merged the power of alternative rock with sincere romantic vulnerability. Its surreal, Michel Gondry-directed music video鈥攆eaturing the band navigating massive hands and dream sequences鈥攊s considered a high point of 1990s visual art.
