Album Notes & Community Reviews

A defining anthem of the 2000s indie sleaze era, the track famously shifts tempos mid-song, abandoning its opening garage-rock sprint for a rigid, strutting dance-punk groove. Its sharp, angular guitar interplay heavily drew inspiration from 1970s post-punk acts like Wire and Gang of Four. The song's massive success helped bridge the gap between indie rock bands and club dance floors.
