Album Notes & Community Reviews

A psychological masterpiece within the hardcore hip-hop canon, built upon a haunting, melancholy sample of Isaac Hayes' 'Hung Up on My Baby'. The track boldly subverted gangsta rap tropes by having Scarface, Willie D, and Bushwick Bill openly explore themes of paranoia, severe depression, and PTSD associated with street violence. It remains a critically acclaimed high-water mark for Southern rap vulnerability.
