Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Elvis Presley Blues' comes from Gillian Welch's third album, 'Time (The Revelator)' (2001), released on her own Acony Records. Written with her partner David Rawlings, the song uses Presley's decline as a meditation on fame and mortality, delivered in the duo's spare acoustic guitar and close-harmony format.
