Album Notes & Community Reviews
Straying from their typical arena-rock instrumentation, Imagine Dragons opted for a heavily synthesized, minimalist production approach. The song features pitched-up vocal loops and a stomping, electronic drum beat designed to mimic the booming sound of a thunderstorm. Dan Reynolds's lyrics reflect on his childhood dreams of success and the skepticism he faced before achieving fame.
