Following the overwhelming hype of his debut single, this track was quietly uploaded to SoundCloud as a raw, 'demo' cut. The production is incredibly muddy and side-chained to extreme levels, making the slinky rhythm guitar and whispered falsetto vocals feel as though they are actively fighting against the compression. It proved enormously influential, establishing a blueprint for lo-fi, highly textural alternative R&B.
