Album Notes & Community Reviews
Produced by Just Blaze, 'Exhibit C' is built around a massive, triumphant sample of Billy Stewart's 'Cross My Heart'. Jay Electronica delivers a stunning, highly autobiographical verse detailing his journey from homelessness to spiritual awakening, blending dense Nation of Islam theology with classic street narrative. The single immediately elevated him to mythical status within underground hip-hop, though a proper debut album would not surface for another decade.
