Album Notes & Community Reviews

Jurassic 5's major-label debut, produced largely by Cut Chemist and DJ Nu-Mark, builds its boom bap on deep-crate funk and soul samples beneath four MCs trading verses in unison choruses modeled on old-school routines. 'Quality Control' and 'Concrete Schoolyard' anchor a record that positioned the Los Angeles group as revivalists of hip hop's group-harmony era.
