Lift Yourself

One of the most infamous and bizarre releases in hip-hop history, 'Lift Yourself' was produced around a soulful, chopped sample of Amnesty's 'Liberty'. Following a beautiful instrumental buildup, Kanye West delivers an intentionally absurd, nonsensical verse (the 'poop-di-scoop' section) in a deliberate act of trolling. West later admitted he squandered the beat purely to prevent Drake, who had expressed interest in it, from using it.
