Runaway

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Debuted live at the MTV Video Music Awards a year after his infamous stage crash, 'Runaway' serves as Kanye West's sprawling, nine-minute toast to his own flaws and public vilification. Instantly recognizable by its solitary, repeating high-E piano note, the track features a standout guest verse from Pusha T and an extended outro consisting entirely of heavily vocodered, wordless singing. It remains the emotional centerpiece of his maximalist opus 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'.
