Ye vs the People

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Dropped in the midst of intense public controversy regarding the artist's political affiliations, this track takes the form of a televised debate over a chopped soul sample. Featuring rapper T.I. acting as the voice of public dissent, the song attempts to explain and justify the artist's highly polarizing right-wing endorsements. It stands as a fascinating, raw historical document of an artist actively grappling with his own cultural backlash in real-time.
