Firework

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Co-written with Stargate and Sandy Vee, this soaring dance-pop anthem trades the playful cheekiness of Katy Perry's other singles for earnest, empowering sincerity. The track builds steadily through string arrangements into a massive, four-on-the-floor chorus designed for stadium crowds. It became one of the most successful and recognizable pop songs of the decade, dominating radio play and securing a Diamond certification.
