Alright

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by Pharrell Williams and Sounwave, the track utilizes a stuttering, jazz-inflected drum pattern and a prominent saxophone melody to anchor its message of hope amidst racial injustice. Its hook quickly transcended the realm of music, becoming the unofficial rallying cry and protest anthem for the Black Lives Matter movement during widespread demonstrations against police brutality. It stands as a pinnacle achievement where dense, complex hip-hop successfully aligned with urgent, mass-scale cultural resistance.
