Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by Pharrell Williams, this intense, jazz-inflected track is a thematic linchpin of 'good kid, m.A.A.d city'. Kendrick Lamar details the inescapable gravity of gang violence and police harassment in Compton, despite his attempts to remain a neutral observer. The nervous, skittering beat perfectly amplifies the anxiety and paranoia conveyed in his rapid-fire delivery.
