Album Notes & Community Reviews

Built upon a prominent, joyous sample of The Isley Brothers' 'That Lady', this lead single completely surprised audiences anticipating a darker follow-up to his breakout album. The track serves as a radiant, heavily funk-influenced anthem promoting radical self-love and resilience in the face of depression and systemic adversity. A significantly different, live-sounding rendition of the song featuring a broken-down spoken word section was later utilized for the full-length album.
