Album Notes & Community Reviews
A maximalist, industrial-tinged pop masterpiece that solidified Lady Gaga's status as a global icon. Produced by RedOne, the track features an infectious, stuttering vocal hook and a dramatic French-language bridge, exploring the paranoia and dark allure of unhealthy relationships. Its groundbreaking, surreal music video—heavily influenced by the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen—shattered YouTube viewing records and revived the ambitious music video format.
