Album Notes & Community Reviews

Defined by its iconic, melancholic piano intro and the seamless vocal interplay between Mike Shinoda's rapping and Chester Bennington's soaring, cathartic choruses. The track completely dominated MTV and mainstream radio, bringing the abrasive, angst-ridden sounds of nu-metal to an unprecedentedly wide pop audience. It stands as the band's signature song and a defining cultural touchstone for millennial youth.
