Numb

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the dramatic closing track to 'Meteora', the song is built upon a distinct, melancholic synthesizer hook and heavy, mid-tempo rock instrumentation. Chester Bennington's soaring, cathartic vocal performance captures intense feelings of generational pressure and alienation. It became one of the band's most enduring and universally recognizable anthems, later famously mashed-up with Jay-Z's 'Encore'.
