Tennis Court

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following the global explosion of 'Royals', Lorde released this track to further establish her distinct, minimalist pop sound. Co-produced with Joel Little, the song contrasts a sparse, hip-hop-influenced electronic beat with a deeply sarcastic critique of high-society superficiality and impending fame. Its distinct, uninterrupted, one-shot music video emphasized the artist's detached, deadpan persona.
