Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by David Bowie and Mick Ronson, this single stands as Lou Reed's signature solo achievement. 'Walk on the Wild Side' intimately chronicles the transgressive lives of Andy Warhol's Factory superstars over a distinctive, sliding double-bass line and brushed drums. The lush, cinematic B-side 'Perfect Day' offers a melancholic counter-narrative, balancing genuine romance with an undercurrent of impending doom.
