All I Want for Christmas Is You

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Co-written with Walter Afanasieff, this incredibly buoyant track successfully updated the classic Phil Spector Wall of Sound production style for the modern pop era. The arrangement features festive bell chimes, heavy backing vocal harmonies, and a soaring lead performance that prioritizes romantic longing over material gifts. It has achieved unparalleled cultural dominance, arguably becoming the only modern song to enter the traditional holiday canon.
