Album Notes & Community Reviews

Driven by an instantly recognizable, heavily featured sample of the Tom Tom Club's 'Genius of Love', 'Fantasy' redefined the landscape of 1990s pop music. The song debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making Carey the first female artist to achieve this feat. Crucially, its official remix featuring Ol' Dirty Bastard pioneered the now-ubiquitous practice of pairing pop vocalists with hardcore hip-hop verses.
