Fade Into You

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Providing a stark, gentle contrast to the aggressive grunge dominating 1990s alternative radio, this track became Mazzy Star's breakthrough hit. The arrangement relies on David Roback's languid acoustic guitar strumming and subtle slide guitar, creating an intimate, dusty sonic landscape. Hope Sandoval's detached, whispered vocals perfectly convey a profound sense of romantic yearning and isolation.
