Album Notes & Community Reviews
A sweeping, dramatic pop ballad that definitively shed Miley Cyrus's teen-idol image. The song addresses the deterioration of a relationship, powered by a massive synthesizer-driven chorus and a powerful belting vocal performance. Its Terry Richardson-directed music video, featuring Cyrus swinging nude on an actual wrecking ball, became an inescapable cultural phenomenon.
