Album Notes & Community Reviews

Offering a foundational rendition of the classic American murder ballad, this recording showcases a deeply intricate fingerpicking style entirely distinct from the heavier Delta sound. The remarkably soft vocal delivery stands in stark, compelling contrast to the violent reality of the lyrical subject matter.
