Album Notes & Community Reviews

A defining masterwork of 1990s East Coast hardcore hip-hop, characterized by Havoc's chilling, atmospheric production. The iconic, eerie instrumental loop was famously created by pitching down a stovetop siren and combining it with a Herbie Hancock piano sample. Prodigy's opening verse delivers a cold, hyper-realistic depiction of New York street survival that heavily influenced a generation of rappers.
