Album Notes & Community Reviews

A double-sided Rawkus single pairing two sides of Mos Def's craft: Ayatollah's 'Ms. Fat Booty', built on an Aretha Franklin sample, and DJ Premier's 'Mathematics', a densely referential counting exercise. Both cuts anchored the Brooklyn MC's emergence as the commercial face of underground hip hop at the decade's end.
