Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking a monumental shift from rural acoustic sounds to an electrified urban style, this blistering recording essentially birthed the modern Chicago blues template. The heavily amplified slide guitar and powerful vocal performance set a new standard for post-war blues intensity and deeply influenced later generations of rock musicians.
