Album Notes & Community Reviews

A crucial evolutionary step for New Order, 'Temptation' saw the band shedding the gothic gloom of Joy Division in favor of shimmering, sequenced dance rhythms. Bernard Sumner's soaring, yearning vocals overlay a kinetic mix of live drumming, sequencer loops, and aggressive guitar strumming. It is often cited as the bridge track where they truly discovered their identity as electronic dance-rock pioneers.
