Album Notes & Community Reviews

Anchored by an incredibly sinister, walking bassline and a sparse, ringing bell, the track is a masterpiece of gothic storytelling. Nick Cave delivers a menacing, charismatic vocal performance detailing a shadowy, potentially supernatural figure wandering the outskirts of town. The song has achieved significant pop culture permanence due to its frequent utilization in thriller films and modern television crime dramas.
