Album Notes & Community Reviews
Serving as the lead single for 'After Laughter', this track marked a radical departure from Paramore's pop-punk roots toward an upbeat, 1980s-inspired new wave sound. The bright, tropical marimba and synthesizer instrumentation contrasts sharply with Hayley Williams's lyrics detailing severe exhaustion and depression. The song successfully introduced the band to a new generation of alternative pop listeners.
