Album Notes & Community Reviews

Delivered with an intensely booming, theatrical bass-baritone, this iconic show tune easily transcends its origins to become a profound statement on enduring racial and economic hardship. The massive orchestral backing perfectly frames the pessimistic yet undeniably powerful vocal performance.
