Self-released on David Thomas's own Hearpen label, this debut single stands as a crucial bridge between raw garage-punk and avant-garde post-punk. Driven by Peter Laughner's heavy guitar and Allen Ravenstine's shrieking, chaotic analog EML synthesizer, the track mimics the horrifying sonic ambiance of an air raid. It established the industrial, anxiety-ridden sound of the Cleveland underground.
