Album Notes & Community Reviews

Driven by a sampled shakuhachi flute and a brass section inspired by 1960s Memphis soul, 'Sledgehammer' became Peter Gabriel's biggest solo hit. Its massive success was immensely bolstered by an innovative, visually stunning stop-motion music video produced by Aardman Animations that dominated MTV for over a year.
