Firestarter

Marking the debut of dancer Keith Flint as the band's sneering, punk-influenced frontman, this track fundamentally shifted the direction of electronic dance music. Built around a heavily processed guitar sample from The Breeders and a frantic breakbeat, it brought an unprecedented level of aggression to the UK singles chart. The accompanying black-and-white music video, shot in an abandoned London Underground tunnel, terrified parents and instantly became a cultural touchstone.
