Album Notes & Community Reviews
A satirical critique of the ostentatious lifestyle associated with Seoul's Gangnam District, this track became an unprecedented global viral phenomenon. Driven by an abrasive, electro-house beat and a highly memeable 'horse-riding' dance choreography, it was the first YouTube video to ever surpass one billion views. Despite its comedic exterior, it successfully catalyzed the international mainstreaming of the modern Korean Wave.
